The
Science of Matchmaking...
Don't Leave Romance to Chance!
Champion Alpacas was born from the idea that we need to be producing
the very best alpacas with the very best fleece. We strongly
believe in breeding for the best quality offspring and improving
with each generation. The breeding decisions we make today are
going to greatly affect the future of the alpaca industry. Our
breeding program consists of superior quality herdsires to help
improve your breeding program. North American breeders have the
opportunity to produce some of the world's best alpaca fiber. The
future of this industry is in the breeder’s hands.
Looking towards the future, we have hand
selected this incredible group of herdsires for our breeding
program. We know that the future of alpacas will be focused upon
the elite and have worked towards that vision. Those alpacas that
represent the “best of the best” with respect to fiber,
conformation, phenotype, genotype and temperament will be the
backbone of the alpaca industry. With this vision in mind, we
picked a group of males that we feel will gives us superior
results and will help guide us to the forefront of the alpaca
industry. We are confident that our herdsires can do the same for
you!
We
selected our herdsires not only for their outstanding fiber, but
also because of the genotype and history of pedigree, which gives
them true breeding value.

Christopher-B
is an awesome full Peruvian Color Champion & 3-TIME GET OF
SIRE
herdsire! He won 1st Place at the 2004 AOBA National
Conference and has done extremely well in the show ring.
TEN different judges have placed Christopher-B at the top of his
class. He has a gorgeous Merino type fleece with high
frequency crimp & excellent density. He continues to
maintain a fine fleece as he ages! Christopher's conformation is
impeccable and with a solid bone structure. He has a wonderful
disposition that makes him very easy to work with. His dam,
PPPeruvian Accent, is from Sollocata bloodlines and was the
high-selling huacaya female at the 1998 Fall Celebrity Sale in
Columbus, Ohio. Christopher's sire,
Ultima, is from Allianza bloodlines.
We
selected Christopher not only his outstanding fiber, but because of
his genotype and history of pedigree, which gives him, true breeding
value.
Christopher-B is AWESOME and so are his crias!!
Christopher-B has single handedly improved the quality of our
herd regardless of the quality of the dam. We are very pleased
with his offspring. The fleeces are outstanding with high
luster. He has the ability to improve the offspring of the
females he is bred to.
We have seen what he can do to improve the offspring and it is
amazing!
Christopher provides a total outcross for most North American Alpaca
breeders and his genetics are very limited.

Royal Fawn's Accoyo Centurion has
gorgeous bundling, crimpy, lustrous fiber and is dense, dense,
dense! His skin biopsy came back with a S/P Ratio* of 15.7/1.
Centurion has the highest result seen in the country to date!!
Centurion is as typey as an Accoyo can come and even has fiber
growing over his feet. He is out of Royal Fawn and Accoyo
Dona and both sides of the family tree are responsible for
Centurion's quality. Both his Dam and GrandDam still exhibit
exceptional conformation as well as fiber that remains dense,
lustrous, fine as well as crimpy. Centurion is the cornerstone of a
quality huacaya breeding program.
Centurion's sire,
Royal Fawn, sold for $600,000 in October 2005 and his fraternal
brother, Dom Lucillio, sold for $400,000 at the 2004 Spring Fling!!!
* SP Ratio - This is the number of secondaries to one
primary. The ratio of secondary to primary fibers determines the
density of a fleece. The skin of fiber producing animals is an
elaborately constructed network of hair follicles. In general, a
primary follicle will be surrounded by a multitude of secondary
producing follicles. A high SP ratio is a desirable trait.

White Knight has a very unique and limited genetic make-up. His
sire, PCA Accoyo El Nino, is no longer performing outside
breedings. His dam, Misty Dawn, is out of two imports. Misty Dawn's
sire, P3 White Lightning 6012, was owned by Pacific Crest
Alpacas and has a very limited number of offspring and is no longer
breeding. Thus, White Knight is a blend of not only extremely high
quality but also very difficult to find genetics.
You won't be disappointed with the
quality of this male! He is an exceptional male and will add
quality to your herd through his offspring.
Owned in partnership with Vintage
Alpacas in Ohio. White Knight will be in Ohio 6 months every year

Bandido has it all and will add genuine value to your growing herd –
the Hemingway blend of incredible fiber
and outstanding conformation. Extraordinarily handsome with chiseled
symmetry, excellent crimp and fabulous density from head to toes.
His micron count was 20.3 at three years and he has continue to
maintain a very fine fleece. Easy to handle, a big, bold
gentleman. His offspring are awesome and he stamps a
significant breed-up on the dam. His dam, Benatton, was
purchased by WestWool Alpacas in 1993, from the first import of
Peruvian alpacas into North America, when she was two years old.
Benatton turned out to be a great producer for WestWool over the
years and as Mike Safely said "she is one of the best producing
females brought into North America." Her early offspring won lots of
ribbons for Northwest Alpacas including the a blue ribbon for
Produce of Dam at 1998 AOBA conference. Bandido is a full brother to
the famous Mister Antonio who was purchased by Magical Farms for
$125,000 for half interest.
Bandido is co-owned with Signe Ostby of Valhalla Farms in
California and Tom & Beth Berger of Suncoast Alpacas in Florida.

The Peruvian Knight
DOB: May 13,
2003
Color: Medium
Fawn
Sire: 5Peruvian Camelot
Dam: Accoyo Dona
Congratulations to
Brian &
Nancy Thompson
of
Tres Amigos Alpacas!
The Peruvian Knight
has a poise that can only be described as regal. He knows he is
something special. His dam, Accoyo Dona is a from full
Accoyo lineage sired by Accoyo Amadeus, the first Accoyo
exported to Germany. His sire is the well known 5Peruvian Camelot
who is from the Macusani Region in Peru. His maternal brother is
our gorgeous herdsire, Royal Fawn's Accoyo Centurion.
Centurion has one of the highest S/P ratios (15.7/1) recorded in
this country to date. We will be doing a skin biopsy test on
Knight in November. Knight has very dense fiber that is soft as
silk, and his long staple length positively glows with luster. His
teeth are perfect, his conformation is outstanding and he has a
beautiful typey head. You have to be smitten by his beautiful head
which compliments his well balanced body. Knight is a large male
with excellent bone.
See Knight's 2005 histogram at 2 years old! Before he was shorn
this year, his fleece was so uniform that you could not see any
medulated fibers except a few in his neck. 2006 histogram -
unbelievable!! 19.6 micron on a three year old breeding male! His
micron has only increased 1.3 microns since he was a cria. His
other stats have barely moved.
Histogram Results:
2004: FD 18.3; SD 3.3; CV 18.2; CF 99.7
2005: FD 17.9; SD 2.9; CV 16.5; CF 99.9; Curve 44.3{34}
2006: FD 19.6; SD 3.6; CV 18.3; CF 98.5

Whistler's Chance Encounter
DOB: May 13,
2004
Color: True Black
Sire: My Peruvian Chance
Dam: CPeruvian
Fern
Congratulations to
Michael DeDear and Alan Pickard of Squire Creek Ranch, LLC
on their purchase of Whistler's Chance Encounter!
"The Count,”
as he is referred to, is an exceptional true black male, with
density, crimp that extends to his tips, and perfect conformation.
His fiber has beautiful sheen with bundling and a soft handle.
He is well proportioned, a complete package! He won the
Color Champion class at the 2006 Phoenix, Arizona show.
Color runs deep in his lineage. His true black sire, My Peruvian
Chance produced an incredible 9 true black, 2 dark brown, and 3
fawn in his first year of cria births. The dams were white, fawn,
brown, and black. His grand dam has produced dark brown, silver gray,
and black. His grandsire, Timo, is a well-respected producer of
ribbon-winning off-spring in Canada. Only 8 of his off-spring reside
in the USA.
His dam, Fern is medium fawn with a grey muzzle and has always
produced black or dark brown cria, even from lighter sires. She is a
Peruvian import brought into the US under the strictest of criteria.
Her cria have high IGGs, vigorous growth, and benefit from her
outstanding mothering skills.
The Count has the depth of color background that ensure him of being
a reliable producer of dark off-spring. His appealing phenotype make
him stand out, and his genetic background make him a desirable
candidate for herdsire. Density and excellent crimp character are
qualities shared by both sides of his lineage.
